Broadcasting for Student-Athletes
This two-day workshop is designed to help student-athletes work with reporters and to polish their interviewing skills.
Students will give mock interviews for both radio and TV in Bishop Kearney’s HD video and podcasting studios and learn how to give concise answers that make them look and sound great on both radio and TV.
Student-athletes will also have the opportunity to work as sports anchors and reporters to learn how broadcasters do their job (and as a possible career after sports).

About the Program Director: Dr. Marra teaches communication classes at both Bishop Kearney High School and RIT. He has worked as a public relations practitioner and at radio and television stations, including the top-rated talk radio station in Washington, D.C. He also is the coordinator for all of the livestreaming on campus for BK Athletic events.
